“Precious”

Posted in Uncategorized on November 18, 2009 by Tiffany Stern

Today I went to go see the movie Precious and I must say that this film was one hell of a story. Precious is a story that should be heard in the black community because many women today still suffer from what Precious went through. Precious was mistreated since the age of 3 and finally stood up for herself when she had enough. This shows that anybody can get back up again once they have fallen. I advice everyone to go see the movie, but I must let you guys know the pros and cons of the movie before you go see it.

Pros: The actors/ actresses all did a good job in acting out the characters. There were no dull moments in the film. Whenever there was an emotional scene, a funny part would be shown right after just to change the moods of viewers. (Yes the movie was that touching)

Cons: All of the light skinned characters played the inspirational/ innocent roles, while the dark skinned characters played the bad characters (such as her parents who molested her). Black people are stereotyped in the movie which is a shame because the producer and co-producer is African American. The movie will not be shown at Jack London until the 20th, so you might want to go to AMC Theaters in Emeryville. Oh and Monique who played Precious mom, made me feel uncomfortable because she was acting an usual character.  (I’m used to seeing Monique playing in comedy movies) It’s like going from a Care Bear to The chainsaw massacre.

When will these images of the black human race end?  Overall, I rate the movie as a 8.5 out of 10, only because of the cons I just mentioned.

Please comment, as your comments are deeply appreciated.

Feeling kind of down

Posted in Uncategorized on November 12, 2009 by Tiffany Stern

Lately I’ve been feeling a little down because my life isn’t how I want it to be right now.  When I first started college, I thought that by now that I would be successful, but I took the hard route, which has caused me to be in college a little bit longer than expected. Seeing all of my friends and associate graduate and move forward with their lives makes me want to do better, but also discourages me because I feel like I should have been doing the same thing. Maybe if I dedicate myself more to school and cut down my social life by stop partying so much, then maybe I can move forward. I was thinking about moving away somewhere outside of California, so that I can find happiness. I have no love life, which is probably one of the reasons I am unhappy. Men are ALWAYS playing games and really don’t know how to settle down. Sorry to soak everyone with my sob stories, but my feelings matter and should be heard. Funny thing is, in a few minutes I may not feel this way because I am a moody person but at least you guys know what goes on in my mind sometimes.

The Princess and The Frog

Posted in Uncategorized on November 5, 2009 by Tiffany Stern

The movie ,”The Princess and The Frog”  is coming out in December and guess what, the princess is a black lady. With Obama being the first black president, Disney decided to create it’s first featured black character to fit and reverse the image of the norm disney charater. Although people of African decent is honored to see a Black Disney charater, the problem arises when we see that the Prince is not black as well, as if black love can not be conquered. The Prince is  voiced by a Brazilian man, yet his appearance shows that he is white, although he has an Indian name. I believe the name was used to cover up the fact that the prince is white.  ”We can have a black president in office, but not a black Disney prince?” This is the question that has arisen from many angry critics. Should The Princess and The Frog be an controversial issue or shall people stop being sensitive to anything that involves race?

Critics will always criticize! There are just some people out there who are sensitive to culture and how culture is portrayed.  Why can’t people have a since of epistemology?

Tiger stripes are definitely a nail art trend. You can get strips with any color you like. French tipped or the whole nail will work.

Powder tips is also in style although it may be a little pricey. Trying them at least once will get you hooked if its done right.

I love these powder nails. VERY FANCY!! I think I want to get these done next time I go to the shop. It will be smart to just get your own rhinestones, as the shops may not carry them.

Whatever Rihanna does, I dig it. She has style. I vote her the best dressed to impress. Rihanna nail game is always on point, so if your ever need pointers on how to design your nails, Rihanna may have what you need. Rihanna is also sporting power nails but multi-colored ones.

Where are the good men?

I’m tired of fooling around with these weak ass, insecure, low- self-esteem, momma ass boys dudes. Why do  I always find fine and hansom men who got so much going on in there life and end up being too busy for me? If you want to see someone, you will make time for them right? Don’t give me all those bullshit reasons, “I’m stressing” “Sometimes I just shut down when I got so much on my mind.” Look brother, I heard it all before like Sunshine Anderson said. Look I don’t have time for games dude. I am a grown lady ready to possibly settle down one of these days , with a real man who knows what he wants and lets nothing get in his way, not even his momma. I know this is not a dating site but hey if your a guy and your on point, holla at your girl and show me that there are real men in the world who would be ready and willing to spare time and appreciate me. When women constantly have the same or similar problems with a men, we have to start thinking is it me? The answer can vary sometimes. Maybe it is you, but just because you have bad luck with men. God may not think your ready for your real match yet because maybe you go some more growing to do. We as women can not keep thinking that its us because it’s not. It’s them big head guys. Enuff about my problems, Lets go into what kind of men  like and work from there.

Below are pictures of celebraties that I’ve had a crush on since day 1. Are yall ready?

Trey Songz #1 crush

Trey Songz #1 crush

I like Trey Songz because of his confidence. He doesn’t come off as a mommas boy. He love the ladies which is not hidden. I like men to be up front if there are other girls involved with them besides me. Liars completely turn me off. Therefore, Trey is considered durable and a playmate for Tazzy.

Nathan from Gossip Girl

Nathan from Gossip Girl

Nathan aka Chace Crawford comes off as a very sweet guy from what I observed. He’s charming, smart, and handsome all in one. He is the type of men I would like to have as a babies daddy. He seems like he will be a great father to his children and a great husband to his wife.

Brad Pitt

Brad Pitt

Who doesn’t like Brad Pitt besides the fact that he left Jennifer for Angelina. Brad is thee finest white boy that I came across in line with John Deep and Nathan. He was the first white boy I ever like besides the white guy, Zachary Morris known as Zack, in “Saved By The Bell.”

Chris Brown

Chris Brown

Chris Brown, our favorite pop star celebrity. Note: Yall better leave my man alone. I like Chris not only because he hit Rhianna but because he comes off as a generous person who would spoil his girl if she meant a whole lot to him. He’s young and got 30 year old liking him. He’s the definition of a fine light skinned guy.

John Deep

John Deep

John Deep is also a ladies man. He got Black, Asians, Mexicans and Indians liking him. He’s a great actor and I think he look good whatever part he play in a movie.

Tyson Beckford

Tyson Beckford

Last but not least Tyson Beckford’s physical look is what I would like to see in a male model. His dark chocolate skin makes my mouth water and want a sample of his chocolate. He’s a mixed baby, yes it’s true. He said he got a little “Asian” in him. Can’t you see it in his eyes?

One Love “Short stories”

Posted in Uncategorized on October 5, 2009 by Tiffany Stern

All I got to say is wireless love. I’m sitting by the lake doing my homework and decided to take out my laptop to check my email. My Laptop was turned completely off so I had to start the whole computer up. I put in my password, blah blah blah.. and as soon as it finished starting,  the first wireless connection showed up; It was called “one love,” so I said to my self, “this connection has to be free, talking about one love. show me one love.” Come to find out, It was a free wireless connection.. I was juiced. lol Sorry I had to share that with you guys.

Detoxing the people around me

Posted in Uncategorized on October 4, 2009 by Tiffany Stern

People hear me out.  Am I complaining too much if I keep talking about how my life isn’t where I want it to be right now? I’m sick of tired of being sick in tired of not being able to live the life I would like to live, which is stable, successful and happily with a husband and kids. Well not now but in like 3 years. I’m always looking forward to meeting new people and doing new things. Right now I feel like the people who I surround myself around are not on the same page as me. I don’t really feel the links because they are invisible. They are just not there. No offense but people need to step up, if they want to hang around me. I know, I’m out spoken, but that’s a good thing. I shouldn’t have to do things according to other people feelings. I live my life for me and do what I want when I want to. Don’t get me wrong there are positive people in my life who I am inspired by, but there are too many who I am not inspired by. The whole purpose of this blog entree is to remind people that, if you aren’t satisfied with the people in your life or what you are doing in life, then try to change that. Detox everything that needs to be detoxed and do what makes YOU happy. Every case may be different. Please feel free to comment.

My LA trip

Posted in Uncategorized on September 29, 2009 by Tiffany Stern

I had so much fun in LA, even though we spend most of our time lost and trying to be found. lol On friday night we (Kristina and I) ended up eating at a random Indian spot on Sunset Blvd. The food was good, I will be back because I looooooove Indian food. Saturday night was the highlight of my trip because we went to club Tatou where Marques Houston performed. It was good to see him because I though he fell off the face of the earth. lol Oh yeah this big ugly chick, God Bless, was on stage dropping it and shaking it like she was hot. How about not hot or nowhere near hot? She was confident in herself so I guess thats all that matters. Anyways, I had fun. Got to see my homegirl Victoria that I haven’t seen in years. She still look the exact same. I love my girl. I had a blast though and is looking forward to going back to LA for more adventures and excitement.

Below are a few pictures I took while down there, Enjoy!

I made this design in like 4 mins and 20 secs. For real! It turned out to be awesome, so I think someone should use this design as a book cover or a billboard.

Hey my birth name is Tiffany, but people call me Tazzy. I prefer Tazzy when I’m being a bad girl or when I’m just acting up, or doing me. So when you hear someone call me Tazzy, you better watch out.
